Equifax Credit Profile

You will be listed with Equifax once your business has a line of credit from a bank or bank issued credit cards. Your corporate credit profile with Equifax isn’t available at any time like we experienced with D&B and Experian, but you can get the information you need, when you need it.

Getting an Equifax Corporate Credit Report

There are several ways to get your business credit report from Equifax:

  • When A Lender Requests a Report – Equifax will only provide a report to a lender that you authorize, so you know who is receiving your information. When you grant any organization access to your Equifax business credit information, you can request your own copy at that time by writing to Equifax as follows:
    Equifax Inc.
    P.O. Box 740249
    Atlanta, GA 30374-0249
    sbfe@equifax.com
    1-800-727-8495
  • If Credit Was Denied Based On Equifax Information – If you have been denied business credit based on an Equifax corporate credit report, you have 60 days to call 1-800-727-8495 or request a copy by mail from Equifax.
  • Download Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 – You can download a FREE copy of Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 and with that you are able to get 1 free copy of your Equifax business credit report.

Keep in mind that there isn’t any reason to get an Equifax report until you know you have creditors reporting and have established a corporate credit profile. Having an empty Equifax business credit report doesn’t do you any good.
